Making soil meatballs

Making soil meatballs is my favorite way of determining if a soil mix is suitable for making quality adobe blocks, mortar and plaster. If you can't easily roll your soil mix into meatballs, it's time to look for another soil source.

Once you find a soil that can be rolled into meatballs, it's a good idea to make 6-8 of them that you then set out to dry for further testing.
